WHY DO WE NEED DUCKBILL VALVES? All the marine outfalls are ended with diffusers for the discharge of waste, saline or thermal water. During the calculation of diffuser port diameter, it is always considered the future flow rates. Therefore, in most of the cases, some ports are needed to be blinded in order to achieve the specified dilution values. It is also required to prevent sea water entrance to the line when there is low flow rate or when there is no flow. If it is not prevented, the ports may be blocked, marine life can enter to the lines and consequently, the calculated and declared dilution ratios can not be achieved. With the use of duckbill valves: – No need to blind some of the ports during the first years of operation – Provides a better dilution even with low flow rates – Prevents saline intrusion to the line when there is no flow – Increases the jest velocity and provides a better S1 value |
New Product – ProFlex™ Style 790 Check Valve
Possibility to be installed in the pipeline
Style 790 check valve, the only assurance to ZERO backflow. Style 790 will be your last and only requirement for a Low Headloss Inline Check Valve.
The Style 790 check valve is the elastomeric valve of choice for municipalities, airport runway runoffs, railway washouts, highway flood damage prevention and odor control.
The inline design of the Style 790 check valve allows the valve to be installed without having to do any modifications to existing structures or costly pre-install planning. The unique fold away design of the inner sleeve also allows for a near full port flow, allowing for quick drainage.
